WiscNet New Service Webinar
Sept. 17 Webinar: Learn About
WiscNet’s Mobile Beacon Service
Mobile hotspots may be familiar technology, but Mobile Beacon offers WiscNet members much more to explore - - including new ways members are putting mobile connectivity to work.
Join WiscNet for a practical overview of Mobile Beacon and WiscNet’s Mobile Beacon Service during a webinar on Sept. 17 from 10-11a.m. We’ll start with what Mobile Beacon is, why the nonprofit exists, and how its mission aligns with the communities WiscNet members serve. From there, we’ll walk through how the service works for WiscNet members, including commitments, pricing, ordering, and member support.
We’ll also dig into the technical side of the service, including devices, connectivity, and Mobile Beacon with Peplink, as well as what members should know when considering Peplink for their own environments.
Finally, we’ll share real-world feedback and use cases from WiscNet members already using Mobile Beacon devices, as well as ideas on how schools, libraries, higher education institutions, and other community organizations might put the service to work.
Whether you’re already using Mobile Beacon, considering the service, or simply curious about what’s possible beyond a traditional hotspot, this session will give you the information and examples you need to explore what could work for your organization.

WiscNet New Service Webinar
Oct. 13 Webinar: Learn About
WiscNet’s Operational Intelligence Service
School districts have a lot of moving parts--help desk tickets, devices, systems, processes, questions from staff and families, and plenty more. And when those tools and processes don’t talk to each other, even simple tasks can take more time than they should.
That’s where schoolOS comes in.
Join WiscNet and the schoolOS team on Oct. 13 from 12 noon- 1p.m. for a friendly introduction this schoolOS, a K-12 operational intelligence platform that brings together the tools and information districts use every day in one place. Powered by AI, schoolOS gives staff, students, and families a simpler way to find answers, get support, and get things to the right people--without asking your team to build another system from scratch.
During this one-hour webinar, we’ll take a look at the different pieces of schoolOS, including schoolAgent, schoolAssets, schoolHelpdesk, and the upcoming schoolAutomate, and talk about what they can actually look like in the day-to-day life of a school district. Think easier ticket routing, better access to district knowledge, device lifecycle tracking, and opportunities to automate repetitive tasks while keeping people in control.
And because you can’t talk about AI in schools without talking about data, we’ll spend time on privacy, security, and transparency, too. We’ll cover what schoolOS does--and doesn’t--do with data and how districts stay in control of their information.
Lunch is on SchoolOS!
We know we’re taking up your lunch hour, so schoolOS would love to treat you! The first 25 people to register and attend will receive $25 toward lunch.
By opting in, you agree to receive direct messages from schoolOS about your lunch credit.
A little lunch and a lot of good conversation--we hope you’ll join us!
