WiscNet Board of Directors

The Board provides strategic leadership and oversight to support WiscNet’s mission of fostering education, research, and economic development through a digital network that connects public and private entities. WiscNet Articles of Association
WiscNet, a non-profit association founded in 1990, is based in Madison, Wisconsin. It advances education, research, economic development, and public service by fostering high-speed digital communication among members. Its activities, subject to Section 501(c)(3) guidelines, include promoting research, collaboration, and expanding scientific knowledge. Membership is determined by its By-Laws, and the Board manages WiscNet’s affairs. On dissolution, the remaining assets are used for educational, scientific, and charitable purposes. Amendments to By-Laws or Articles are permissible within Wisconsin laws.

WiscNet Event Code of Conduct
WiscNet promotes a safe, welcoming community, encouraging respectful interaction in all forums. The Code of Conduct safeguards against harassment, ensuring a conducive environment for open discussion. Violations reported via conduct@wiscnet.net may lead to expulsion without refund. Grievances regarding unjust accusations are duly considered. Member vigilance and feedback contribute to upholding the community’s integrity.

WiscNet Acceptable Use Policy
WiscNet users must adhere to its purpose, respect laws, and others’ network use, and avoid harmful or harassing behavior. Members must ensure their communities follow these rules, requiring user authentication and aligning with other networks’ policies. As the internet is not inherently secure, encryption for sensitive information is recommended.
