Join us on Wednesday June 18th to chat Data and AI in Public Libraries
Public Libraries, Big Data, and AI: Oh My!
AI in libraries, like Thanos, is inevitable. This presentation explores how libraries can create AI usage policies and leverage AI in various operations. We'll discuss the Kenosha Public Library's journey in policy development, it's creation of a privacy focused data warehouse, and the various tools used for accomplish these tasks.
Rob Nunez is the Head of Data and IT for the Kenosha Public Library. He oversees the functions of Technical Services, IT, and the newly formed Data Analytics and Governance departments on a day to day basis. During his tenure at the library, Rob helped to provide resources and tools to the general public to engage all ages with STEAM resources, and help bridge the digital divide. He has helped to roll out the WiFi Hotspot program, works with staff to help improve internet access at and around the library buildings, and developed the first AI policy for libraries in Wisconsin.
We are excited for this to be a collaborative space where we can all learn something together, for collaboration is the best way to share knowledge and resources amongst the membership.
